Allow me to introduce myself.

Hi, my name is Mary Ma. I am a graphic designer living in the Atlanta suburbs. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (Go Huskers!), and 9+ years of industry experience.

Let me reminisce for a minute. My defining moment as an artist was around the age of four or five. I entered a coloring contest at the local K-Mart. I colored a picture of a worm, and said worm received first place (!!) and won me a fifty dollar savings bond (whoa!). I was hooked. My love for art exploded. It still blows my mind that that silly coloring contest made such a lasting impact on my life.

Fast forward several years … my first job as a graphic designer was at a small, locally-owned ad agency in Lincoln, Nebraska. Since then, I have worked as part of an in-house marketing team, co-owned my own web design business, worked for a giant ad agency in Chicago, and–most recently–am doing freelance design work here in Atlanta.

I am hard working, creative, passionate, organized, detail-oriented, and a team player. I love designing and creating. It is in my DNA. I am happy to discuss potential opportunities, and hope you enjoy browsing my online portfolio!
